BinTool is written for creating and editing shot- and editlists. It can be used as scripttool on set, as archiving- and databasetool or for preparing offline-editing in studio. BinTool is also useful to solve special problems while working with Bins. The user can modify all entries of these lists directly by keyboard input or with standard edit functions: Cut,Copy and Paste Sort and Sift Search and Replace Timecode-,Track- and TapemodifyWith more complex macros it is possible to convert one special file format into another. BinTool can read and write a lot of file formats e.g.: AVID-LogExchange CMX-EDLs SONY-EDLs![]() BinTool Screenshot BinTool is designed for Microsoft Windows. It needs only about 1.2 MByte harddiskcapacity and works also on any notebook which has a seriell connector. Here you can find a demonstration version of BinTool for Download (11.02.2003 - 865KBytes). To test it, copy bintool.zip in any empty directory and expand it. Now start install.exe! Expand macros.zip in the macro-directory of BinTool.The DDE-Log is available BinTool provides the TC to other applications. This is neither based on a DDE connection. With easy macros it is possible to insert the actuell timecode at the current cursor position in a textapplication. The DDE command set allows also to control the remote functions of the LogTool. ddelog.txt contains informations about the DDE-commands.
